Buddhism Day! Day four was dedicated to exploring Buddhism. Our pupils have learnt so much new information, created some absolutely gorgeous mandalas, and finished the day feeling calm after some peaceful meditation. A lovely, tranquil end to the day!
InterFaith Week highlight: We learned about Sikhism, focusing on helping and sharing. We heard the Guru Nanak story, coloured the Golden Temple, and made friendship bracelets. The children had so much fun!
What an exciting day! Year 2 had a visit from the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and learned how to Stop, Drop, and Roll!' We are officially fire safety experts! A huge thank you to the incredible Fire service for visiting us!

Buddhism- guided meditation.
Interfaith week- Day 4: Buddhism. We read the story of The Monkey King and discussed peace and mindfulness. We made Lotus flowers because they are a symbol of purity, spiritual awakening, and enlightenment.
Decorating our cakes for Adrianna's birthday party tomorrow.
A Hands-On Look at Islamic Faith: Today, Faith Week exploration centered on the practice of Salat (Islamic prayer). After studying the different names and times of the daily prayers, the children then created their own prayer mats.
Well done, St Aidan's boys! We didn't get the win today, but your teamwork and effort were brilliant. Be proud of how hard you played. Keep persevering; success is coming!
Day 3 of Interfaith Week focused on Sikhism. The children gained a wealth of new knowledge about the religion and produced some excellent acrostic poems.
Year 3 have had such a fun time baking traditional Challah bread. We have spent the afternoon role playing a traditional Langar kitchen from Sikhism. We have had such good fun.
