MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: An "Egg-stra" Special Easter at St Aidan’s!

To celebrate Science Week, the children worked beautifully in their teams to design and construct sturdy bridges. There was a lot of trial and error, but the final structures were impressively strong. Well done, everyone!

Our finished DT salads. What fantastic creativity and resilience the children have shown throughout the week. Each child met the design criteria of creating a delicious, healthy and colourful salad.

PE with Jake this week!

Today we evaluated our end products! We used our oracy techniques to share our thoughts with our peers and did a great job. Well done, Year 1!

Today was Making Day! The children did a fantastic job designing backgrounds, drawing pop-up features, and assembling their mechanisms. They are so proud of their work and will be bringing their creations home tomorrow!

The children have had a fantastic time exploring our chia seed "frog pond" at lunchtime! They loved the squishy sensory experience and imaginative play with our froggy friends—it was wonderful to see them so engaged and curious.

Yesterday, the Worship Group joined Rev Alice for a trip to Mill Hill. The children worked hard planting flowers at the community centre, brightening the local area and representing the school brilliantly.

Today year 3 showcased our History Show It to year 5. There was Egyptian artefacts labelled and names in hieroglyphics. Year 3 demonstrated their sticky knowledge and made us very proud.

The children demonstrated great focus and resilience this morning as they mastered peeling, grating, and cutting to create healthy salads. Please view our photos to see these talented master chefs and their impressive finished dishes.

Reading Challenge Winners! Out celebrating our winners this morning from the Reading Challenge. We’ve chosen a book each and had a nice hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream, marshmallows and sprinkles.

Amazing to have Rev Alice in school today to talk to us about how Easter is a time for victory as well as sadness. We have some wonderful sticky knowledge to share.
