Yesterday morning, we visited the church for our "Blackpool Beach Mission." Children learned about Bishop William Temple through sandcastle building, circus skills, and writing postcards. Thank you to Rev. Alice and Paula.
Our RE topic is ‘Why is the Church a special place for Christians?’ This week, we explored the church to identify key objects and their symbolism. The children loved the matching challenge! Next, we’ll visit other faiths' places of worship.
We had a blast at our church "Beach Mission"! Pupils explored Bishop William Temple’s legacy through sandcastle building, circus skills, and postcard writing. Huge thanks to Rev. Alice and Paula for a wonderful afternoon.
To celebrate 100 years of Blackburn Diocese, we visited the church for Blackpool Beach Mission activities. Huge thanks to Rev. Alice for hosting us! Each child is coming home with a piece of rock to share the love.
This week's reader of the week is Olivia. Olivia shows her love of reading every week. We are very proud of you!
Today in music year 3 are being introduced to the ukulele, we are creating some interesting sounds.
Reception getting busy in the sunshine outside!
Fantastic letter formations in Pen Party!
In RE, Reception explored 'Special People' by role-playing 'Jesus Feeds the 5,000'. They learned how Jesus used just two fish and five loaves to feed the crowd, showing how his faith and kindness made him truly special. Great work, Reception!
In Maths, we have been learning about Adding and Taking away (First, Now and Then). Reception have been working extremely hard and their oracy has been fantastic!
Our athletics focus is off to a fantastic start this half term. This week, the children sharpened their reflexes and agility through fast-paced drills and high-speed games.
We are excited to continue our ukulele lessons with Junior Jam, building on prior knowledge to move beyond the basics. Pupils are now advancing their skills by mastering complex chords and refining their strumming techniques.
