Today in Geography, we successfully reviewed the 7 continents, locating them on a map. We then learned about the 5 oceans, singing a song and identifying their locations.

We have been talking about seasons this week.

We had a lovely Stay and Play session to celebrate Father’s Day.

Well done to our award winners this week - 12.6.25

Preparing to make cards with our grown ups this afternoon.

Year 4 mathematicians explored tenths on a place value chart this morning using whiteboards and counters, strengthening their understanding of decimals and wholes.

This week is the national multiplication timetables check. We have been taking these in a quiet place with Mrs Hargreaves and Mrs Harrrison. We plan on having these completed by tomorrow. Well done to everyone who has completed them so far.

Today in Maths, we focused on counting in 5s. The children were excellent, working hard with various equipment and talk partners to support their understanding.

Yesterday in Science, we explored the roots of a plant. We took apart a plant carefully and had a closer look using a magnifying glass! It was amazing what we could see. Ask your children at home what is the job of the root in a plant?

Yesterday in Maths, we were counting in 2s. The children were excellent at this and worked really hard. We used a variety of equipment to support our understanding.

A busy day of investigating.

We LOVED reading Wild Boy in year 6 over the last half term. I wonder what we will read next?
