This week, the chess club has been focusing on the queen piece.

This morning in English we have been introduced to the shapes for the layout of an explanation text. We will use these shapes in future lessons to plan our own writing.

Thank you to Reverend Alice for leading our Worship Team meeting this lunchtime. We have been planning our Outdoor Prayer Day for later this month.

We are looking forward to reading our new books at home that we received today at the Literature Festival. Thank you Christina Gabbitas.

What a special start to this half term for our Year 5 children. Mrs Moss has managed to arrange a visit to Mill Hill library to hear a story and meet the infamous Christina Gabitas, a famous Blackburn author.

This afternoon in art we have been using viewfinders to pinpoint different brush strokes we can use.

Well done Ronnie for working hard in the holidays.

Exploring sharing in maths.

Carson is our reader of the week.
