Visions and Values

At St. Aidan’s we aim to provide a safe, happy Christian environment with a high level of pastoral care for all members of our school community.

All our pupils are unique individuals and our main priority is to develop the full potential of each and every child in our school.  This underpins the positive ethos we foster, stated in our vision and mission statement:

We have strong links with St. Aidan’s Church and regularly hold services there, led by the children.

At the heart of our school are Christian values.  We actively promote Christian values and seek to foster an environment of spirituality, creativity and respect where everyone is valued.

Mission Statement

At St. Aidan’s we aim to provide a safe, happy Christian environment with a high level of pastoral care for all members of our school community.  All our children are unique individuals and our main priority is to develop the full potential of each and every pupil in our academy.  We strive to enable everyone to develop their individual skills and talents so that they are all fully prepared to be responsible global citizens.

This underpins the positive ethos we foster as stated in our vision and mission statement:

‘Fulfilling potential, growing in God’.

Christian Values

Christian Values are at the heart of the life and work of the academy and have a major impact on relationships and the experience of all within the academy community.  We actively promote Christian Values and seek to foster an environment of spirituality, creativity and respect where everyone is valued.

In December, we revisited our Christian Values with the whole academy community and they have been chosen by our staff, pupils, parents & governors.  Our Christian Values underpin our decision making to ensure that all pupils have equal opportunity to experience life in its fullness, regardless of their background.

The academy has three core Christian Values taken from Corinthians 13:13:

‘And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.’

Each core Christian Value has four underpinning Values:

Faith Hope Love
Wisdom Peace Service
Koinonia Endurance Compassion
Humility Thankfulness Forgiveness
Trust

Pupils learn about Christian Values through themes in Worship, RE and PSHE.
