We enjoyed yoga today.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar pen party.

Miss Abbotts brought in her guitar today and we enjoyed learning about it and singing some hymns.

Year 4 are really enjoying making sticky knowledge in Blackburn museum. Make sure you ask us what we have learnt today. Our brains are going to be bursting.

Year 2 artists have been exploring colour mixing this week! They successfully combined the primary colours red, yellow, and blue to create the secondary colours purple, orange, and green. Some children even experimented with mixing warm and cool colours.

We have been measuring using non-standard units. We used cubes, counters and books and discussed what would be best to measure each object.

In the next lesson, we looked at length and we compared using the words longer and shorter. We used our oracy to talk about the objects we had found in the classroom.

In Maths, we have started our new Height and Length unit. We started by looking at height and comparing using the words taller and shorter.

In Art, we have started our painting topic. We have been using the Primary colours and mixing to create Secondary colours.

We have now finished our History topic so we have done our Show it! We pretended to be news reporters and share everything we know about The Great Fire of London. We did a fantastic job and used our oracy skills.

Today in maths, we have used fraction walls to compare equivalent fractions.

This week, in art we have been using different tools with paint to create art work.
