A fantastic service bringing school, church and community together in a safe space to give thanks and praise to God for our harvest this year.
Reverend Alice invited members of the school, church and wider community to bring forward their harvest donations. These will be taken and donated by school to the Billy project on Friday 3rd October.
During Harvest worship we were all invited to create a piece of work which reflected what would give thanks to God for. We had a range of different things, from plants, planets, trees, wildlife, men, women and life in all its forms.
It was wonderful to host the first of many Sunday worships in school today. It was great to see members of the school, the church and the wider community in school to celebrate and reflect on the way God is present during the harvest period.
Year 2 Readers of the Week!
In science, we are using classification keys to sort plants.
In RE, we finished our display, and what a display it is, well done I am really impressed. Look at the work they have done!
In PE, we have moved to full games on our jag tag lessons.
In Art, we explored our outdoor environment to find inspiration for our pictures. We collected natural materials and made collages.
In P.E, we have been learning about tackling in Jag Tag! Esme was EdStart’s star of the week!
Number line superstars! This week we have been placing 10’s and 1’s on the number line to 100. We then began estimating where we think the number should go. The children could find the midpoint and did an excellent job.
We have some busy bees and learning superheroes in class today.
