We put our sequencing skills to the test today by working together to create a timeline of historical events. The pupils were excellent at organising everything from the prehistoric age to the present day and understanding the passage of time.

VE Day worship.

What a wonderful VE Day worship led by our incredible Worship Team! Even a projector bulb issue couldn't dampen our spirits. We simply moved our worship to Google Meet, and it was a fantastic start to our day.

What a fantastic morning for Year 3 at Blackburn Museum! Gayle brought the ancient Egyptians to life for us! We even got to see some incredible artefacts!

We have now finished our History topic so we have done our Show it! We pretended to be news reporters and share everything we know about The Great Fire of London. We did a fantastic job and used our oracy skills.

Our History Show It! For 10 weeks we have been learning all about different explorers/significant people from the past. The children have loved this topic and enjoyed working as a team to show what they had learnt.

In History, we have been studying chronology, creating timelines spanning 4,000 years of British and world history. We explored past civilisations and their contemporaneous existence, recognising chronology as a crucial skill for further development.

We have started our new topic in History, The Great Fire of London! We have looked at a timeline using toilet roll, to show us how long ago it really was. We then looked at some new vocabulary that we can use throughout the topic!
