We had the best day ever!! Year 2 had exceptional behaviour. We went to the circus, the beach, went on the pier and had an ice cream.

This afternoon was our VR workshop about the Maya civilisation. It was amazing! Ask us about it :)

In History, we are focusing on Canals and Railways. This afternoon, we examined old photos of the nearby canal and surrounding area and then took a local walk to see how it has changed over time. Ask your children what they found out.

In History, our new topic is The Great Fire of London. We explored images from this event and discussed how the fire may have started. We also had a chance to look at some resources sent by Blackburn fire station. We had lots of fun!

How did trade get global? We have been researching globalisation and how it developed over time.

This afternoon we started our new history topic 'Ancient Egypt'. We have been fact hunting around our classroom. Ask us what we have found out.

Reception- Black History Month:

Reception have been learning about Jack Leslie and Demi Stokes. We have also been enjoying lots of books that celebrate diversity.

Year 6 World War 2 visit to Blackburn Museum

This week Year 6 visited Blackburn Museum to learn about how Blackburn was impacted by World War 2. We were able to look at many artefacts and use a wide range of sources to enhance our understanding about the Homefront in Blackburn.
