On Tuesday morning Year 6 participated in a live interview with author Tom Palmer and Jewish Holocaust survivor Harry Olmer.  The session was very informative and the children have learned all about The Holocaust and Anne Frank. Harry Palmer gave a very special message to the children, he asked that we do not hate and that they are kind to everyone. He also told stories about his childhood and about how he and his family escaped from Poland and eventually he became a refugee in Windermere in the Lake District, England. Tom Palmer shared a passage from his book 'After the War' which is a fictional book based on the survivors of the Holocaust. Finally we were able to ask questions to aid our understanding further.
