Our first butterfly has come out of its cocoon.

In Science, we have been learning all about Plants! In this weeks lesson, we talked about what plants need to grow and how they start from a seed or a bulb. We then planted our own seeds and are going to look after them and observe the grow over time!

Year 4 scientists got hands-on with the digestive system today! Using tights as intestines, mashed banana as food, crushed biscuit for texture, orange juice as stomach acid, and water, they explored how our bodies turn food into poo!

In Science, we explored plant origins, focusing on broad bean seeds. We compared soaked and dry seeds, discovering the protective seed coat. Peeling it back, we found the young root and shoot. The children thoroughly enjoyed their scientific investigation
