Last week in Year 2! 🌟 We’ve been super busy. In English, we sorted nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. In art, we made paper sculptures and Kandinsky posters. Plus, in science, we compared different seeds and drew diagrams of what’s inside.

We have officially turned the final page of our class novel, The Wizards of Once by Cressida Cowell. From Xar’s wild schemes to Wish’s bravery, the children have been absolutely gripped by the world of Badness and Iron.

Well done to our talented performers at the Blackburn with Darwen Schools' Poetry event! After a fantastic whole-school celebration worship, it was wonderful to see our children represent the school with such passion and enthusiasm.

This term we have been learning about people who help us. We had a special visitor in today, Kirsty the Police Officer! Reception tried on some Police uniforms and even found Bob who stole my ring, in the back of the van!

Year 1 had a brilliant time meeting Poppy the tortoise yesterday to bring their science and poetry lessons to life! The children were wonderfully gentle and followed all hand-washing rules perfectly. Huge thanks to Miss Sprot for the visit.
