What a fantastic art lesson yesterday! We have been exploring the exciting technique of Impasto, applying thick layers of paint to create texture and depth. We focused on recreating a small section of Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘Wheat Fields with Cypresses’.

Wow what an amazing last day of term we have had celebrating love. Today we researched Keith Haring - an American pop artist. We then recreated some of his artwork by drawing big shapes of love inspired by his art. We all had so much fun being creative.

Today in Art we responded to Henri Matisse ‘The Snail’ - we used the primary and secondary colours to arrange different materials in different patterns. What a great week we have had so far!

We have been using clay in Art to create stamps. First, we flattened the clay and then used various tools to make imprints on it. We then painted the stamps and used them to print on our card. We are really impressed with how they turned out!
