This week is the national multiplication timetables check. We have been taking these in a quiet place with Mrs Hargreaves and Mrs Harrrison. We plan on having these completed by tomorrow. Well done to everyone who has completed them so far.
Today in Maths, we focused on counting in 5s. The children were excellent, working hard with various equipment and talk partners to support their understanding.
Yesterday in Science, we explored the roots of a plant. We took apart a plant carefully and had a closer look using a magnifying glass! It was amazing what we could see. Ask your children at home what is the job of the root in a plant?
Yesterday in Maths, we were counting in 2s. The children were excellent at this and worked really hard. We used a variety of equipment to support our understanding.
A busy day of investigating.
We LOVED reading Wild Boy in year 6 over the last half term. I wonder what we will read next?
Shoutout to our Children’s University pupils for all of their hard work and hours they have put in.
Great first day back at our Chip party celebrating God and preparing for our Year 6 Leavers’ service coming up!
This week, the chess club has been focusing on the queen piece.
This morning in English we have been introduced to the shapes for the layout of an explanation text. We will use these shapes in future lessons to plan our own writing.
Thank you to Reverend Alice for leading our Worship Team meeting this lunchtime. We have been planning our Outdoor Prayer Day for later this month.
We are looking forward to reading our new books at home that we received today at the Literature Festival. Thank you Christina Gabbitas.
