This week in Science, we have been learning about the roots of a plant. We have had a close look at the roots and discussed what they do and why they are important.

In English, we have been focusing on the book Mole’s Star. Today we made a wish whilst looking at the stars just like Mole did in the story. We are now writing our wishes in a star outline and hoping that they come true.

Last night we started our Messy church after school club! We had so much fun creating our own version of Joseph and his technicolor dream coat and listening to worship songs. There are still places available for any children who would like to come.

In History, our new topic is The Great Fire of London. We explored images from this event and discussed how the fire may have started. We also had a chance to look at some resources sent by Blackburn fire station. We had lots of fun!

In Science, our new topic is Plants! In our first lesson we went on a nature walk to explore where plants grow and find out what plants we already know.
