I am delighted to write to you as the new deputy headteacher for St Aidan’s Primary School, and I am very much looking forward to getting to know all our pupils, parents, carers and our whole school family. I feel extremely privileged and excited to be able to lead the school and continue to build upon your success.

Having worked in primary education for thirteen years and as a parent myself I value the importance of close partnerships with families, which are essential for the continued progression of our school. I know that a successful and happy school depends on all of us working together and I look forward to building relationships with you.

From the first time that I visited, the warmth of and family nature of the learning environment at  St Aidan’s was evident. The school has a long and rich history which I am honoured to now be a part of, most importantly the links that have been created with the wider Cidari family. The needs of our children are always paramount in the decision making within school. Alongside the staff here, I strongly believe in providing the children with exciting, creative and meaningful learning experiences, which build their enthusiasm for learning and promotes their curiosity and interest.

Over the coming weeks, there will be ‘Meet the Teacher’ meetings for each class, which I look forward to meeting many of you at. I will also be available both before and after school, so please do come and say hello. You are welcome to contact me via the school office.

Together, with the support of all the school team and wider St Aidan’s family, I am excited about the journey which lies ahead.

Best wishes,

Mrs H Hargreaves

(Deputy Headteacher)
