Great ducks Lola and Noah

Charlotte from Greenarc visited Year 1 this morning. She told us all about her company, construction and electrical careers. Charlotte certainly inspired our children. We are already looking forward to your next visit Charlotte!

This morning with Junior Jam.

Ask us about our Clever badges

In History, we are focusing on Canals and Railways. This afternoon, we examined old photos of the nearby canal and surrounding area and then took a local walk to see how it has changed over time. Ask your children what they found out.

In English, we have been focusing on the book Mole’s Star. Today we made a wish whilst looking at the stars just like Mole did in the story. We are now writing our wishes in a star outline and hoping that they come true.

Seeds year 1 24.04.24

We built a house at lunchtime today.

We have been learning about the lifecycle of a caterpillar. Ask your child to sing you our song.

Chess club

In Science, we are focusing on Forces and Magnets. This week, we have been conducting experiments to understand why different surfaces have an impact on the movement of objects. Ask your child/ren what they found out.
