Working hard in PSHE recognising that being diverse is great but celebrating the things we do share in common- mainly a love of food in Year 4!

Year 2 have had a super busy week! Here we are enjoying dance in PE with Blackburn Rovers, using instruments in music with Junior Jam and using objects around our classroom for our measurement unit in Maths.

Today, we started our afternoon by practicing our handwriting and listening to relaxing music! We did a fabulous job.

In Maths, we have been counting by grouping in tens. This is an easier way for us to count numbers up to 50.

In Science, our new topic is Plants! In our first lesson we went on a nature walk to explore where plants grow and find out what plants we already know.

In History, our new topic is The Great Fire of London. We explored images from this event and discussed how the fire may have started. We also had a chance to look at some resources sent by Blackburn fire station. We had lots of fun!

Another great day in reception

Our topic this term in Science is Plants. We sorted the different types of seeds and then did an investigation using a dry and soaked seed to spot the similarities and differences. Here we are opening the seed to investigate the different parts inside.

Year 1 have enjoyed exploring and creating 3D sculptures using different types of paper, rolling and cutting techniques.

This afternoon in PE with Sam, the children focused on practising forward throws, bounce throws, and dribbling skills. They all worked incredibly hard!
