Today in Art we responded to Henri Matisse ‘The Snail’ - we used the primary and secondary colours to arrange different materials in different patterns. What a great week we have had so far!
We are finishing this week with our Art unit of collages. Today in Art we responded to the artist Bridget Riley, her work inspired us to create Op Art. What talented artists you are Year 2!
The Good Samaritan
The library bus came to our school this morning, and the children were excited as they picked out new books for our library.

Our salad creations
This morning we planned what ingredients we wanted to include in our salad. This afternoon we made our salads, the children were excellent at cutting, grating and peeling the ingredients. Super work Year 2!
Y1 Design and make day
Planning their tour around Sicily and presenting their ideas.
Our next skill was juicing, this was really fun! We even got to taste the juice, it was very sour!
We are now focusing on the skills part of our DT week. This afternoon, we have been learning the skill of cutting and how to do it safely. This will make sure that when we cut our fruit for our smoothies, we are super safe and our fruit is cut perfectly.
