We have been working super hard so deserved an extra play this afternoon in the beautiful sunshine.

We then drew around two of the boys and the children helped label their body parts.

In Science, our topic is 'Animals including humans'. For our first lesson we learnt about the different parts of the body. We started the lesson by playing ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’.

PSHE teamwork

Day two starting well! We have had a positive maths lesson in Place Value up to 1,000,000 and a PE session outside in the warm weather.

We have had a fantastic start to year 5 and have enjoyed starting our learning for the new school year. This afternoon, in PSHE, we have been working collaboratively to build towers.

Laura from school swimming came to speak to the children about swimming. All year 4 children will be going swimming every Tuesday starting from next week.

Today in English we had an experience day. Nala (Mrs Harrison's dog) came to see year 3. We thought about how Nala was moving, how she was feeling and what she could hear and see.

In RE, we are learning all about where our food comes from before it reaches the shops. Is it grown or does it come from an animal? Ask your child what they have learnt.

This afternoon we are doing yoga in PE.

This morning in Maths, the children have been sorting objects.

Great first day in Year 6! We began discussing all the fun opportunities we have coming up such as head girl/boy, worship team, sports jobs and school council.
