World Book Day 2025 winners

Today in History, Year 3 explored the significance of Egyptian pharaohs, learning about famous rulers and the symbols they used. We had a go at "mummifying" Lexi-Grace, designing our own tombs, and writing our names in hieroglyphics.

Drama today. Ask us what the scenes show at home.

In Art, we have been using all of the drawing techniques we have learnt to copy an artists piece of work through a view finder. It was tricky to look whilst drawing but we did a great job!

Miss Abbotts brought in some potatoes to help us with 1 more up to 10 today.

We are colour mixing using primary colours in our painting area this week.

World Book Day 2025 in Year 1. We really appreciate all the effort you have gone to with the costumes and jars, the children looked fantastic! Thank you.

In History this week, we looked at how the fire was put out in The Great Fire of London. Ask your children if they can remember?

Our book in English this term is ‘The Pirates Next Door’ This week we have experienced what it would be like to be pirates. We learnt to dance like a pirate, talk like a pirate and we even walked the plank.

Playing bowling today!

Our focus in PE today was balance.

A few pictures from today to show off our wonderful world book day outfits. A huge well done and massive shoutout to the grown ups behind the scenes pulling these together.....we see you.
